Expert repair to upper board in outer corner where board had been worn away. The leather has been replaced and the gilding re-applied. Very smart and richly gilt boards with a gilt crown in the centre, purple moirÇ endpapers and all edges gilt. Name blacked out on title page, repairs to front board and spine, slight wear to upper edge and lower rear joint splitting, a very nice copy in a contemporary binding. [Not in the I.A.I.
